Adding modules to the page

First of all, There are two key elements you need to understand:
- Dimension
Dimensions are fields used in visualizations. Dimensions determine how the data in a visualization is grouped. For example: Amount per facility or number of cases per laboratory.
- Measures
Measures are calculations used in visualizations. Measures are created from an expression composed of aggregation functions, such as Sum or Max, combined with one or several fields.
Now please go to the page we created, we are going to add modules of various types to your page :
Adding a Pie module with an alternative dimension
1 : Click on Edit page.
2 : Click on Add new modules.
3 : In the Module panel, select Pie, drag and drop onto the page.
4 : Click on the pencil icon to open edit mode.
5 : Under Edit module, click on Universe, select the fields you need in your module, for our exemple, please drag and drop Stay type to dimension, Stay status to alternative dimension and Number of stays to measure.
6 : Under Aspect, give your chart a title, e.g. Number of stays per type/status.
7 : Save it.
This is what it looks like:
With this presentation, you can alternate between two dimensions : Stay Type and Stay Status.
Adding a bar chart with an alternative measure
1 : In the Module panel, select Bar, drag and drop onto the page. .
2 : Click on the pencil icon to open edit mode.
3 : Under Edit module, click on Universe, select the fields you need in your module, for our exemple, please drag and drop Patient Age Range to dimension, Number of stays to measure and Number of patients to alternative measure.
4 : Go to 'Number of stays' measure, under GENERALS, click on Order, select Descending Order.
5 : Go to 'Number of patiens' alternative measure, under GENERALS, click on Order, select Descending Order.
6 : Under Aspect, give your chart a title, e.g. Number of stays/patients by age range.
7 : Save it.
That is what it looks like:
With this presentation, you can alternate between two measures : the number of stays and the number of patients
Adding a stacked column chart with alternative dimensions
In this case, we have two items in the dimension, and two items in the alternative dimension, so for better presentation, we need to add catogories.
Proceed as follows:
1 : In the Module panel, select columns, drag and drop onto the page.
2 : Click on the pencil icon to open edit mode.
3 : Under DATA-> Categories, click on + to add a new category, give the name Patient age, and the token p.
4 : Under DATA-> Categories, click on + to add another new category, give the name Stay type, and the token s.
3 : Under Edit module, click on Universe, select the fields you need in your module, for our exemple, please drag and drop
- Patient Age Range to dimension, set Patient Age as category.
- Patient Gender to dimension, set Patient Age as category.
- Stay Type to alternative dimension, set Stay Type as category.
- Patient Gender to alternative dimension, set Stay Type as category.
4 : Under ASPECT, click on Type, set Stacked normal as Stacking type.
5: Under ASPECT, click on Legend, activate View Legend.
6 : Under ASPECT, click on Other, activate Short Measure Name.
7 : Save it.

Adding a date filter
1 : In the Module panel, select Simple filter.
2 : Click on the pencil icon to open edit mode.
3 : Under Edit module, click on Universe, select the fields you need in your module, for our example, please drag and drop Stay Entry Date to dimension.
4 : Under 'Stay Entry Date' dimension, click on FILTER tab, set Calendar as Type.
5 : Save it.

Adding a group filter
1 : In the Module panel, select Group filter.
2 : Click on the pencil icon to open edit mode.
3 : Under DATA-> Categories, click on + to add a new category, give the name Stay, and the token S.
4 : Under DATA-> Categories, click on + to add another new category, give the name Patient, and the token P.
5 : Click on Universe, select the fields you need for your module, for our example, please drag and drop
- Stay Entry Facility to dimension, set Stay as category.
- Stay Entry Ward to dimension, set Stay as category.
- Stay Entry UH to dimension, set Stay as category.
- Patient Age to dimension , set Patient as category.
- Patient Gender to dimension, set Patient as category.
- Patient Nationality to dimension, set Patient as category.
6 : Save it.
